PTI Long march has been halted on Day 3 after a female journalist died falling from a container near Sadhoke on Sunday.
Speaking to the marchers, PTI Chairman Imran Khan said that the march was supposed to move towards Kamoke, Gujranwala, today.
“However, due to the tragic incident, we will stop the march immediately,” he said.
Imran Khan also sent his condolences to the family of the deceased and prayed for the departed soul.
Disturbing news came on Sunday evening revealing that a female reporter of Channel 5, Sadaf Naeem, lost her life by falling from a container during the PTI Long March.
She was covering the happening of the PTI Long March on day 3.
The media outlet said that Sadaf Naeem fell from the container after which she was crushed by the vehicle.
She passed away on spot.
As reported, Imran Khan stopped the container following the accident. He got down from the container and inspected the accident site.
After a reporter passed away during PTI’s long march near Sadhoke on Sunday, the party called off its activities in solidarity.
In a tweet, PTI leader Asad Umar said that the march would now commence from Kamoke tomorrow (Monday).
