PTI Long March preparations in final stages, first day schedule released

Following the announcement of the Long March by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan, preparations have entered the final stages, while the schedule for the first day has been released.

According to the sources, the long march starting on October 28 will reach Islamabad through GT Road, while the long march will proceed only during the daytime, and with nightfall on GT Road, there will be a stay after Imran Khan’s speech.

PTI leadership has been informed about the possible night halts as the long march from Lahore may take several days to reach Islamabad.

On the other hand, PTI Lahore President Imtiaz Shaikh while releasing the schedule of the first day of the long march said that the long march will start from Liberty Chowk on Friday, October 28.

“We will go to Shahdara on the first day of the march. It will go to Ferozepur Road via Kalma Chowk,” he said.

He said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan will address the participants at Azadi Chowk on the first day of the long march, and the second day of the long march will begin from Shahdara Chowk, PTI leaders have been directed to set up advertisement campaigns and camps in their areas.

Special tasks have been assigned to the leadership of the cities along the GT Road, district and tehsil level committees will make arrangements for the participants while the long march participants will also be provided with travel facilities and food.

According to sources, convoys from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and North Punjab will be told the date of arrival in Islamabad on Friday.

On the other hand, the PTI party workers from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have prepared a plan for the long march, from Peshawar the workers will leave for Islamabad via GT Road and instructions have been issued to the workers to stop at Taxila. To encircle Islamabad, caravans from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Azad Kashmir will protest at the entrance and exit of the capital.

The sit-in participants have been asked to bring food and drinks with them, while plans have been made to set up temporary shops at the site of the sit-in.

The MNA and MPA of each constituency will take at least 1000 workers with them, duties of party officials have also been imposed to block the highways leading to Islamabad.

The march from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be led by Chief Minister Mehmood Khan and Provincial President Pervezakhtak.
