Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) held a protest in Karachi against alleged “malpractices” during the elections on Sunday.
The party’s protesters blocked the Superhighway near Al Asif Square and Hub River Road at 8 am to register their protest.
However, the protesters dispersed in the afternoon.
Furthermore, JUI-F also protested at the National Highway in Sukkur against “rigging” in the February 8 polls.
As reported, the protest is being led by PS-22 candidate Muhammad Mubeen Baloki in Sukkur.
A day earlier, JUI-F Secretary General Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, in a statement said that JUIF chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman would soon convene a meeting of the Central General Council to decide the future action plan.
He alleged that leaders of national mainstream parties were forcibly defeated while little-known candidates were helped to win their constituencies.
In the latest development, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has called a meeting of the central working committee and senior leaders in Islamabad on February 14.
