Karachi Administration has banned the usage of Drones in the metropolis for seven days!
The ban on drone cameras will apply from April 22 to April 28, the notification said.
The SHO concerned is authorized to act on the use of drone cameras, notification added.
According to the notification issued by Commissioner Karachi Syed Hasan Naqvi, Additional Inspector General (AIG) Karachi has informed that in the context of recent attacks on foreigners, there is a threat of attacks on important installations by anti-state elements and hostile agencies.
Therefore, under section CRPC 144, a ban on flying drones is being imposed across Karachi for the next 7 days, the notification added.
It should be remembered that on April 20, a car belonging to foreign nationals was targeted by a suicide blast in the Landhi area of Karachi, in which all foreigners were safe, but 2 terrorists were killed in the attack.
The investigation into the attack revealed that the terrorist killed in the attack was a dismissed officer of Balochistan Levies.
