The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Saturday arrested former information minister Fawad Chaudhry in another graft case.
NAB sought the former PTI leader’s arrest for “misusing authority” in a construction project which was granted by the Islamabad court.
As reported, NAB Chairman Lt-Gen (retd) Nazir Ahmed Butt signed an arrest warrant for Chaudhry after which he was taken into custody from Adiala jail — where he was incarcerated in a fraud case.
In November, the former PTI MNA was arrested and remanded in police custody for two days in connection with an August 2022 case for allegedly taking Rs5 million bribe from a citizen.
He was sent on judicial remand in the case and is incarcerated at the Adiala district jail currently after the court extended his physical remand by a day.
