Nawaz Sharif touched down near Minar e Pakistan in a helicopter on Saturday evening, after arriving in the country in the afternoon.
The helicopter landed on a special helipad created at the Diwan-e-Khaas near the Lahore Fort, from where Nawaz was escorted to Minar-e-Pakistan in a caravan of vehicles.
It was the same helicopter that was also used by the deposed premier Imran Khan for his political campaigns.
Shehbaz Sharif, Hamza Shehbaz, and other party leaders welcomed the PML-N supremo upon reaching Lahore.
