Finally, it’s a good news for the fans who eagerly awaited the Sacred Games season 2. The popular series will continue and see a second season soon. The new season of famous Netflix series landed in trouble after the sexual harassment claims against the co-writer of the series. Netflix has a very strict policy against sexual harassment. For that reason, there were speculations that Sacred Games Season 2 might suffer.
A statement was issued by OTT, the platform from which sacred Games is aired, that after conducting an independent investigation the platform has taken the decision to continue Sacred Games season 2 with Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap.
The statement reads, “We continue to collaborate with our production partners to ensure and maintain a safe and respectful working environment”.
Sacred Games is Netflix’s first original in India. It has been lauded by the international audience and has been critically acclaimed as well. Netflix had earlier announced that Anurag Kashyap and Neeraj Ghaywan would be directing the series with Vikramaditya Motwane being the show-runner for the season 2.
It was earlier when sexual harassment allegations made against filmmaker Vikas Bahl, caused his production company ‘Phantom’ with Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and Madhu Mantena, to dissolved. Which also caused uncertainty for the production of the second season of Sacred Games.The co-writer of the series was also grilled with harassment allegations. Netflix in a statement announced that, “At this time we are evaluating options on the path forward.”
The plan was put to halt; however, things have been sorted out. And soon Saif Ali Khan starring as Sartaj Singh and Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Gaitonde will be back. Will Sartaj Singh be able to save Mumbai City before the 25 days’ ultimatum, let’s wait a bit more!
