‘Not joining any political party,’ Miftah Ismail said in a statement on Sunday.
Former Finance Minister Miftah Ismail while talking to a news channel said that he is not joining any political party.
He added that the news in this regard is mere speculation.
The statement comes following the reports that after MQM-Pakistan, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has invited PML-N leader and former finance minister Miftah Ismail to join the party.
Miftah Ismail responded to the media reports, saying he has quit electoral politics for now and has been busy writing articles lately.
Dr Miftah Ismail, who holds a PhD in Public Finance and Political Economy from the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania, quit politics earlier this year.
Ismail announced his resignation from all posts within the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in June.
He had been serving as the general secretary of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Sindh.
