Pakistan Coronavirus Update: 113 more deaths & 3,084 new cases reported during past 24 hours

Pakistan has reported 113 more coronavirus deaths and3,084 new cases during the past 24 hours.

According to the data available with the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) 38,883 tests were conducted during this period.

While the positivity rate of the COVID-19 cases remained at 7.93 percent.


Pakistan’s virus death toll crosses 19,000 mark on Tuesday. The total number of cases is 864,557 and the death toll is 19,106.

Punjab has reported the highest number of deaths with 67, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 29.

On the other hand, Pakistan recorded 4,387 coronavirus recoveries across the country during the last 24 hours.


Region-wise breakdown of COVID-19 cases and deaths is as follows:

  • Punjab: 1,486 cases, 67 deaths
  • Sindh: 782 cases, 11 deaths
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 495 cases, 29 deaths
  • Islamabad: 182 cases, 1 death
  • Balochistan: 87 cases, 5 deaths
  • Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 39 cases
  • Gilgit-Baltistan: 13 cases

Walk-in vaccination for all 40-plus registered citizens begins tomorrow

Meanwhile, walk-in vaccination for all 40-plus registered citizens will start from tomorrow, 12 May.

Federal Minister and NCOC chief Asad Umar in a tweet on Tuesday informed saying, “Starting tomorrow the 12th of May all 40 plus who have registered will be able to walk into any vaccination center of their choice and get vaccinated. Please note that vaccination centres are open and will only be closing for two days on eid.

The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has decided to close vaccination centres on the first two days of Eidul Fitr. 

According to the news source, at first, NCOC was considering closing the centres on the first three days of Eid.

However, it was decided to reduce the holidays and call the healthcare workers to the vaccination centres on the third day. This decision will benefit around 200,000 people across the country.
