Pakistan Reports 87 Deaths, 3,179 New Coronavirus Cases During Last 24 Hours

Pakistan has reported 3,179 more cases and 87 deaths during the last 24 hours.

The second wave of COVID-19 pandemic proves to be deadly with surging positive cases across the country.

According to the data available with the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Saturday, 36 deaths were reported in Punjab, 32 in Sindh, and 10 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

While the condition of 39 patients is reported to be critical.

According to NCOC, as many as 48,075 tests were conducted during the last 24 hours. With 87 casualties, the death toll has surged to 9,250.

According to the break-up, there are 202,983 cases in Sindh, 130,706 in Punjab, 54,448 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 17,880 in Balochistan, 35,905 in Islamabad, 7,937 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and 4,814 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

On the other hand, a smart lockdown has been imposed in various cities of Punjab, in areas of Peshawar and Karachi.
