The word is talking about the anonymous Pakistani businessman who walked into the Turkish Embassy in the USA and donated 30 million USD dollars to the earthquake victims of Türkiye & Syria.
The person has received recognition from the Turkish government for the generous donation, news agencies reported on Saturday.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif took to social media to laud the humanitarian gesture of the anonymous Pakistani.
“Deeply moved by the example of an anonymous Pakistani who walked into the Turkish embassy in the US & donated $30 million to earthquake victims in Türkiye & Syria. These are such glorious acts of philanthropy that enable humanity to triumph over the seemingly insurmountable odds,” PM Shehbaz Sharif said in a tweet.
The massive earthquake in Turkiye and Syria has so far claimed more than 28,000 lives.
As reported, despite facing the worst economic crisis in the country’s history, Pakistan has donated 2.2 billion (Turkish Lira) TL to help the earthquake victims in Turkiye more than Kuwait’s 1.6 billion TL, KSA’s 1.1 billion TL, UAE’s 1 billion TL and Europe’s 3 million euros.
