Pemra prohibits telecast of CCTV camera footage of Noor Mukadam and Zahir Jaffer!
The CCTV camera footage had revealed the shocking scenes from the day when Noor Mukadam was brutally murdered.
The development comes a day after several news channels aired disturbing and sensitive CCTV camera footage and it was also uploaded on various social media platforms.
“All the satellite TV channels (news and current affairs/ regional language) are directed to stop airing aforementioned [ Noor Mukadam and Zahir Jaffer] CCTV footage immediately, failing which strict action shall be initiated against the violators under Section 29, 30, and 33 of PEMRA Ordinance 2002 as amended PEMRA (Amendment) Act 2007,” read the Pemra notification.
Some more horrific details come to light in the Noor Mukadam murder case on Nov. 9 as the prosecution submitted transcripts of the closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage were submitted in Islamabad court.

According to the transcript, the time of the DVR camera, from where the footage had been accessed, was 35 minutes ahead of the Pakistan Standard Time.
The 27-year-old Noor Mukadam, daughter of former ambassador Shaukat Mukadam, was found brutally murdered at a residence in Islamabad’s upscale Sector F-7/4 on July 20.
