The federal government has increased the prices of petroleum products for the month of August 2019 following fluctuations in global crude prices.
The price of petrol has been raised by Rs 5.15 per litre. New prices will be applicable form 12 am, 1st of August.
The price of petrol jumps to Rs117.83 per litre from the current Rs112.68, reflecting an increase of 5%.
Price of light diesel goes up by Rs 8.90 per litre, the new price is now Rs. 97.52 per liter.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra), forwarded a summary on Tuesday, recommending the federal government to increase prices of petroleum products up to 10% for the month of August.
