PM Shehbaz Sharif departed for London on Tuesday to attend King Charles III’s coronation ceremony!
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has been officially invited to the ceremony.
The Coronation Ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey, London, and will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury on May 6.
Charles will be the 40th reigning monarch to be crowned at the central London church since King William I in 1066.
Announcing his departure in a tweet, PM Shehbaz Sharif wrote, “Leaving for the UK today to represent Pakistan at the coronation ceremony of His Majesty King Charles III. The UK-Pakistan relations are rooted in shared history & multifaceted bonds that have grown stronger over the decades. The British monarch & the royal family have been great friends of Pakistan. I will also use the opportunity to attend the Commonwealth leaders’ summit as well as engage with other world leaders bilaterally.”

He would also hold a meeting with his elder brother and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif in London.
