Police took notice of a harassment incident in Karachi’s Gulistan-i-Jauhar area!
An unidentified man took off his shorts, followed a burqa-clad girl on the street, and assaulted her in broad daylight.
A horrible incident came to light when a CCTV video clip went viral on social media showing a biker who took off his shorts and walked half naked exposing himself to harass a woman walking by the street.
The incident was captured on a CCTV camera, showing an unidentified young man, wearing a face mask parking his motorcycle before removing his shorts and attempting to grab a passerby woman.
The police have obtained information regarding the incident from two security guards in the area as well.
As reported efforts are being carried out to arrest the assailant biker.
According to Gulistan-i-Jauhar police Station House Officer Iftikhar Arain, the incident took place on Monday (July 3) at around 11 am.
He revealed that the incident was recorded on the CCTV camera of a nearby residence, whose occupants later uploaded the video on social media.
“So far no one has approached the police for the registration of a first information report,” he added.
“The police have got some clues about the identity of the woman and are trying to trace her to identify the suspect,” the officer told.
According to him, a police team visited the location where the harassment took place to gather information from the man who had uploaded the video on social media.
