Pope Francis has been down with a cold a day after not wearing a mask as he greeted and blessed a congregation on Ash Wednesday and canceled his official audiences on Friday.
According to details, Vatican officials refused to say if the Pope had been tested for coronavirus .The Vatican said the 83-year-old pope celebrated morning Mass and greeted participants at the end. The pontiff planned to keep his private meeting schedule as planned, but decided to cancel the official audiences.
The Vatican has not gave a hint what exactly the pontiff has come down with, but he was apparently down with cold during Ash Wednesday Mass this week.
Pope canceled his schedules trip across town to celebrate Mass with Rome priests on Thursday.
It is worth mentioning here that Pope’s illness comes amid coronavirus outbreak in Italy that has affected more than 650 people. Rome had three cases of COVID-19, but all three recovered.
