PTI leaders hopes for good after talks with MQM-p

The Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI) delegation headed by Jehangir Tareen has visited Karachi to hold talks with the disgruntled ally Muttahida Quami Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) couldn’t convince the party to return the federal cabinet.

The delegation of senior PTI leaders Asad Umar, Jahangir Tareen and Pervez Khattak held talks with the MQM-P convener and various leaders at their office in Bahadurabad.

“We will meet in Islamabad again soon,” Khattak said after the meeting. “There are issues that will be discussed and be resolved.”

Khattak said that the MQM-P hasn’t left the ruling party but just the cabinet. He assured the people that all of the government’s partners are still with them.

“We will give a good news soon, we will never be separated,” said Khattak during media talk.

While the MQM-P also said that the party members had a significant talk with the government delegation but the decision to return to the cabinet haven’t taken yet.

MQM-P’s Siddiqui said in media talk, “We had announced unconditional support for the PTI after the elections”.

He said that he had told the government that Sindh, especially its urban areas, needs “immediate care”.

While criticizing the Peoples Party, Siddiqui said that the urban areas of Sindh have faced “financial terrorism” for the past 11 years.

MQM-P’s leader Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui had resigned as minister for information technology. The party believes that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s government didn’t fulfill its promises.
