PTI will resign from all assemblies, Imran Khan announced on Saturday addressing the rally in Rawalpindi.

Addressing his supporters at the PTI’s long march, ousted prime minister Imran Khan said that PTI will resign from all assemblies.

PTI Chairman said that he will announce the date for resignations later after consultations with his party leaders.

Addressing a charged crowd in Rehmanabad, Khan said that they will not remain a part of the current political system and will instead resign from all the assemblies.

PTI leader also admitted that it was difficult for him to travel with an injured leg. When he was setting out from Lahore,  Imran Khan said, everyone had advised him not to do so due to his injured leg as well as the threats to his life.

Khan said he had seen death closely after the attack on him. “When I fell down, I knew Allah saved me,” the former premier said.

The PTI chairman further added that the coalition government has been constantly trying to “humiliate” him time and again because he called them thieves.

Responding to outgoing Army Chief General Bajwa’s statement that Imran Khan built a fake narrative and now he was trying to get rid of his own narrative, Imran Khan asked without naming Gen Bajwa that why the National Security Council asked the government to send the US a demarche over the cypher if it was fake.

Imran Khan asked those challenging his cypher narrative to deny what the US Undersecretary of State Donald Lu said to Pakistani Ambassador Asad Majeed.

PTI chairman said that his government was running smoothly when it was removed under the regime change conspiracy and a gang of plunderers was imposed on the country.

He added the incumbent government suspended the fundamental rights of people and subjected them to the worst kind of torture.

Imran Khan once again using the term “Dirty Harry” said dirty Harry was posted in Islamabad on purpose and he unleashed a fresh wave of terror in the federal capital.

PTI chief said that media persons were tortured and forced to flee the country. Senior journalist Arshad Sharif was murdered and PTI leaders Shahbaz Gill and Azam Swati were picked and tortured.

Imran Khan claimed that three shooters were deployed to shoot him in Wazirabad.

He said that Moazzam was not shot dead by the man who was caught by one of his supporters in the rally; he was shot by one of the shooters who were deployed to shoot him.

Imran Khan said these shooters tried to kill the man who is now in custody soon after he fired a shot from his pistol. 

“The pistol-wielding man fled and Moazzam Gondal came in the line of the fire,” he added.
