Shafqat Mahmood has once again contracted coronavirus.
Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood, 71, on Thursday, took to social media to share an update on his heath.
In a tweet, the education minister said that he has once again tested positive for COVID-19, adding he was feeling mild symptoms at the moment, and that he hoped to recover soon with some rest.
He urged people to continue to take all precautions, especially wearing a mask at all times.
“I have unfortunately tested positive for coronavirus. My symptoms are mild so far and I feel fine. Hopefully with some rest will recover soon. Please continue to take all precautions specially wearing a mask at all times,” he tweeted.
The education minister had earlier contracted COVID-19 in May 2021.
Earlier in the day, the education ministers’ meeting to decide schools closure amid the Omicron surge was postponed.
