Opposition leader in the National Assembly and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday announced that his party will donate 10,000 protective kits to the country’s medical association, in a bid to assure life safety of the health workers.
The protective kits have been approved by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan, he said.
“We need to give our medical professionals a sense of safety as they treat coronavirus patients,” the PML-N leader said in a tweet.
Earlier today in a press conference, the PML-N president has hoped that the incumbent government will take timely steps to stop the spread of the virus. “We have to fight this disease and deteriorating economy at the same time”, he stated.
The PML-N leader further said, the federal government should decrease oil prices by Rs.70 to Rs.80 and financially help the daily wagers. There must be adequate number of ventilators at hospitals to handle the deteriorating situation in the country.
Meanwhile, former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif has also extended his prayers to the nation.
It is worth noting here that the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Pakistan rose to 908 on Tuesday after new cases were reported in Punjab and Sindh.
