Technical fault in Guddu Thermal Power High Transmission reported on Sunday evening has suspended power supply in various cities of 3 provinces.
Due to a fire in the switchyard of Guddu Thermal Power High Transmission, 3 lines of 500 KV tripped due to which power supply was suspended to various cities of Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan.
According to Guddu Thar Mill officials, a technical fault and explosion occurred in Guddu Thermal Power High Transmission’s switchyard due to fog, followed by a fire.
According to the officials, 3 lines of high transmission of 500 KV tripped due to which electricity supply was suspended to various cities of Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan.
The fire has been brought under control immediately and repair work is going on in the grid station, the officials added.
According to the officials, the electric supply has been restored in some areas of Multan, Rajanpur, and Bahawalpur while the power supply to the rest of the cities will be restored soon.
