Two talented youngsters Jaya Rajwani and Hafiz Usama Tanveer have made it to the Commonwealth Youth Awards 2020 with nominations in their respective categories for Pakistan.
Jaya who is the technical lead for Aurat Raaj has been included in the Gender Equality category whereas Usama, founder of PakVitae is among those nominated in Clean Water and Sanitation category.
The two individuals are among the 16 shortlisted candidates, in four categories, from 12 countries. The winner of each category will stand a chance to become Commonwealth Young Person of the Year 2020 and take home £5,000.
This year-round Commonwealth received over 500 nominations from 40 countries. Jaya and Usama, however, stood out for their social enterprises and will now receive £1,000, a certificate and ticket to London to participate in the award ceremony set to be held on March 11, 2020.
