The Meteorological Department (PMD) of Pakistan has predicted heavy downpours in the country as a strong rainy system is likely to approach the upper parts of the region that will produce widespread rain till Tuesday.
According to the met office, heavy to very heavy rainfalls are also expected in Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Faisalabad, Jhang, Sargodha, Mianwali, Khushab, Toba Tek Singh from Monday.
The Met dept said Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Khanewal, Zhob and Barkhan will also receive heavy rainfall.
Meanwhile, Dir, Swat, Buner, Shangla, Kohistan, Haripur, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Peshawar, Charsadda, Swabi, Mardan, Kohat and Kurram will also receive heavy rainfall from Monday to Wednesday, the Met Office stated.
The statement further stated that all concerned authorities is needed to remain high alert as heavy downpours may generate urban/flash flooding and will raise the risks of land sliding in vulnerable areas from Monday to Tuesday.
