Babar Azam reclaimed the number one position in the ICC ODI rankings for batsmen, dethroning India’s Shubman Gill.
ICC ranking issued on Wednesday revealed Babar has 824 points, 14 more than the Indian opener’s 810.
While the third and fourth spots of the list are also occupied by Indian batsmen, Virat Kohli having 775 points, and Rohit Sharma with 754, respectively.
Previously Babar Azam was the No.1 ODI batsman for 952 consecutive days, from 1st April 2021 to 8th November 2023 as a tribute to Sri Lanka’s 952/6d in a Test innings v India.
