Argentina legend Diego Maradona, 60, has undergone successful brain surgery.
Leopoldo Luque, Maradona’s personal physician, said that the surgery on the brain blood clot has been successful and he will now remain under observation, . Maradona had “coped well with the surgery”, he added.
The 1986 World Cup winner was admitted to the Ipensa clinic in Buenos Aires on Monday, suffering from anaemia and dehydration.
As being reported, Maradona was transferred to the Olivos Clinic in La Plata, where was operated on at 20:00 local time (23:00 GMT) by neurosurgeon Dr. Luque. The procedure took about 80 minutes.
