Irfan Pathan yet again under-fire for his distasteful post-match jibe stressing value of loyalty to India

His post didn’t go down well with the cricket fans as they hit back at Pathan in replies.

Irfan Pathan is yet again under fire for his distasteful post-match jibe stressing the value of his loyalty to India!

It has become habitual for the former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan to share unnecessary comments every time India and Pakistan play a match.

After the match between Pakistan and India in the Asia Cup 2023 was abandoned due to rain on Saturday in Kandy, Pathan claimed that had it not been for the rain Pakistan would have lost the match and it would have led to broken television sets in Pakistani homes.

Pathan posted that “a lot of television sets were saved today for the neighbours”.

He would make a sound politician in India with his low-standards comments for Pakistan for sure.

Patan’s remarks have irked the cricket fans for sure.

Some people in India have also been irked with Irfan’s response.

Adding more to it, Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan was not at all impressed with Babar’s captaincy in the game and felt rather that Pakistan benefitted from the rain.

Irfan took to X-platform after that Parosion tweet,  to make an assessment of Babar’s captaincy saying that he lost the plot after Pakistan sent India four down for just 66 runs.

He felt that the 21 overs of spin on a pitch with variable bounce was needless from Babar and that Rohit Sharma, in a similar situation, would have rather continued with his four fast bowlers.

“21 overs 133 runs from spinners without a wicket was a game changer. If India were bowling and Pakistan were 66/4 India would have kept fast bowling on as they had a liberty of 4 fast bowlers unlike Pakistan who were playing with 3. So I thought Team India would have been more disappointed with the rain after scoring above par score on that pitch which had variable bounce. #INDvsPAK” he posted.

Here are some more reactions to his remarks.
