As the arch-rivals are set to lock horns on June 9 in New York, Pak-India T20 World Cup match ticket prices have almost doubled.

The much anticipated cricketing event will kick off on June 1.

As the mega event draws near, cricket fans eagerly wait to witness the highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan resulting in an increased demand for match tickets.

The surge in ticket prices is witnessed as a large number of Pakistani and Indian diaspora residing in the US and Canada seek to secure a seat for the much-awaited fixture.

As reported, the ticket prices for the Pak-India T20 World Cup match have gone through the roof to $2,500 compared to the previous price of $1,300.

The T20 World Cup is set to take place at three venues in the US and six in the West Indies from June 1 to 29.

The tournament will kick off with the US facing neighbours Canada at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas.

20 teams are divided into four groups of five to participate in the tournament.

The top two teams of every group will make their way to the Super 8 round.

In the Super 8 stage, qualifying teams will be once again divided into two groups of four, from which the top two teams will make their way to the semi-final.

The Simi finals winners will face off against each other in the final on June 29.

Group A: India, Pakistan, Ireland, Canada, United States

Group B: England, Australia, Namibia, Scotland, Oman

Group C: New Zealand, West Indies, Afghanistan, Uganda, Papua New Guinea

Group D: South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands, Nepal
