Pakistan women made history on Tuesday beating New Zealand in the T20I series 2-0!

Pakistan women’s team secured their first-ever series win against the White Ferns at Dunedin.

The Girls in Green outclassed their host opponents by 10 runs in the second game to ensure a decisive lead of 2-0 in the series.

 

Batting first the girls in green managed to put a total of 137/6 runs.

Aalia Riaz was the top scorer for Pakistan with her 32 off 22 runs including one 6 and three 4s.

While Muneeba Ali, the opener, scored 35.

The visitors restricted the White Ferns to 127/7, to win the match and secured a historic series victory.

Owing to the disciplined bowling by Pakistanis, New Zealand was at one point 89/6, before Georgia Pimmer and Hamma Rowe fought back and made an attempt to bring the hosts back into the game.

However, Fatima Sana successfully defended 17 off the last over and the host remained 10 runs short.

Fatima Sana has been on fire as she picked 3 wickets while Sadia Iqbal sent 2 players back to the pavilion.
