PSL 2021: QG Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and 10 others not get clearance to fly for Abu Dhabi

Quetta Gladiators captain Sarfaraz Ahmed and 10 other players including officials were not given clearance to fly for Abu Dhabi to participate in the remaining matches of the PSL 2021.

As being reported, the former Pakistan skipper was scheduled to leave for Abu Dhabi via a commercial flight this morning at 4:00 am.

According to the PCB, 16 players and officials were due to fly on two commercial flights in the early hours of Sunday morning from Karachi and Lahore.

However, only five, among them included Gladiators’ pacer Mohammad Hasnain were allowed to go whereas Sarfaraz and all the members in Lahore returned to the hotel.

The Gladiators skipper returned to the hotel from the airport and will remain in quarantine till his departure for Abu Dhabi

The PCB in a statement issued on Sunday said that it is looking to find other ways to send the player so that they can start the mandatory quarantine in the UAE.

According to PCB sources, Sarfraz Ahmed is likely to leave for Abu Dhabi tonight.

As being reported, the Abu Dhabi Sports Council had given special permission to the PCB for the departure of 16 persons from Pakistan to the UAE.

The PCB has approached the Abu Dhabi Sports Council for clearance of all players and match officials.
