PSL 6 postponement leads to criticism on the participants of the league for flouting COVID-19 SOPS.

Many of the Pakistan Super League’s fans took to social media on Thursday to express their disappointment following PCB’s announcement.

The day also saw reports of two more players of Islamabad United testing positive for coronavirus, including Hassan Ali and Hussain Tallat.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan Cricket Board announced that the Pakistan Super League 6 has been delayed “with immediate effect” after seven people participating in the tournament-tested positive for Covid-19.

The COVID-19 positive cases in PSL6 has raised  question marks over PCB’s bio-secure bubble arrangement. 

This was bound to happen as the players and the team’s management did not listen to the advisory issued by the authorities.

Reports state that a number of players violated protocols as their families keep visiting the hotel and a few went to attend parties as well.

Meanwhile, when Islamabad United’s Hassan Ali tried to blame evil eye responsible for the postponing of PSL6, a social media user corrected him by saying happened due to COVID-19!

 

The internet on Thursday saw messages form disappointed PSL fans and there were a number of accusations as well.

For many the postponement of Pakistan Super League is a national tragedy. A number of people also came out demanding proper investigation to expose the culprits who are responsible of this loss. There should be a inquiry commission to bring the facts before the public.

This is not the first time that the PSL 6 has faced postponement!

Earlier this year The PSL 5 T20 tournament was suspended indefinitely in March 2020 after COVID-19 pandemic was on surge.

PCB scheduled knockout stage matches of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020 that were suspended due  pandemic.

While the final of PSL 5 was played on March 18,  2021 which was previously slated for March 22.
