T20 World Cup 2021: Pakistan, India placed in same group

The draw for the 2021 Cricket World Cup to be held in the UAE and Oman has been revealed!

Pakistan and India have been placed in the same group for the T20 World Cup, to be played from October 17 to November 14.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) today announced the groups for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 to be hosted by the BCCI in Oman and the United Arab Emirates from 17 October to 14 November.

According to the groupings revealed by the International Cricket Council on Friday, India and Pakistan will be joined by Afghanistan and New Zealand in Group two.

While England, Australia, South Africa, and the West Indies are placed in Group One.

The ICC acting CEO, Geoff Allardice, unveiled the draws in Muscat hours after the BCCI  chief Sourav Ganguly and Jay Shah reached the city.

The Indian cricket board has the hosting rights of the tournament, however, the 16-team event had to be shifted to the UAE amid the coronavirus pandemic.
