Wasim Akram, former Pakistan skipper nicknamed sultan of swing in the cricket world seems to be on a trip to memory lane lately. The cricket great has been sharing a few throwback photos of his cricketing days recalling all those wonderful memories.
On Saturday, Wasim Akram took to social media paying tribute to legendary Javed Miandad while sharing an iconic moment from his debut match.
Wasim Akram made his debut in a match against New Zealand on November 23, 1984, at Faisalabad. Pakistan had won that match by 5 five runs under Zahir Abbas Captaincy.
Former pacer captioned the photo featuring him along with Javed Miandad saying: “This 17-year-old was picked up to play for Pakistan in 1984 in Rawalpindi. If it wasn’t for Javed Miandad, there would never have been a Wasim Akram.”
