Younis Khan has been appointed as Pakistan’s batting coach till the 2022 T20 World Cup , Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Thursday.
Former Pakistan captain Younis Khan will now be heading to New Zealand with the team as his first appointment as a permanent batting coach.
He was first hired as a batting coach for the tour of England but lay out in the recent Zimbabwe series.
On his appointed as the batting coach Younis Khan in a statemet said:
“I am pleased to join the Pakistan cricket set-up on a long-term basis. I felt honoured when I was given the opportunity this summer and thoroughly enjoyed my time, and I now look forward to continuing the work with the same group of people on an important tour of New Zealand”.
According to PCB Younis will be working at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre in Karachi as a batting coach when he will not be with the national team.
