Baba Nanak’s Urs starts in Kartarpur!
Sikhs’ spiritual leader Baba Guru Nanak’s three days long 482nd Urs called “Joti Jot” started at Darbar Sahib in Kartarpur, Narowal.
As being reported more than 30,000 devotees, mostly foreign pilgrims are attending the three days event.
Pilgrims performed religious rites and participated in the collective prayers.
They also visited the places and objects attributed to Baba Guru Nanak.
On Monday, the religious ceremony began with a prayer service at 10 am. While Nishan Sahib and Chola Sahib’s serving ceremony was also held during the first day of celebrations.
While on Tuesday, September 21, the procession of Nagar Kirtan was led by 5 loved ones to the Zero Line.
Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee member Inderjit Singh earlier said that the procession of Nagar Kirtan headed by 5 loved ones would go to Zero Line on September 21, in which Indian Sangats (companions) would be invited.
