Shahrukh Khan’s most awaited film of the year, Zero, is all set to release tomorrow. While the promotions for the film had been going on in full swing, there were also reports of a controversy attached to the film as well, which had also resulted in a complaint being filed against Zero.
According to a petition filed in court by the Sikh community, a poster of Zero, depicted SRK holding a Kirpan, a sacred dagger for the Sikh community. They stated that the casual handling of a prestigious sword had hurt the sentiments of the community and demanded action against it.
Now, according to news, the controversial scenes in the film have been digitally altered.
“Despite the fact that the film and its poster depicted only an ornamental dagger and not a ‘kirpan’, steps have been taken by the respondent to alter the relevant scenes. The portions in question have been altered through visual effects to depict an ornamental sword,” read a statement by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.
Directed by Aanand L Rai, Zero stars Shahrukh Khan as a vertically challenged person, alongside Anushka Sharma, who plays a physically disabled scientist and Katrina Kaif, a drunk superstar. Zero releases all over on December 21st.
