5 books to read before you give up

What is contentment and being in state of peace for you? Well, for many bibliophiles like me, it is to sit back and enjoy a book and a hot cup of coffee. There are different types of bibliophiles, some prefer specific genres, some don’t have any preferences, some are very selective about their reading and some like to read every book that can exist. Each and every book has at least one thing that you can learn from it. However, here are some books that can give a lot more than one can imagine, in order to improve the readers’ lives.

Outliers: The story of success – Malcolm Gladwell

This was my first non-fiction read and I had never read Gladwell before. I read this one about 5 years ago and instantly fell in love with Gladwell’s writing. In the book he focuses on exceptional people that exist or have existed in the world, for example The Beatles and Bill Gates. The book is divided into two main parts; Opportunity, and Legacy. In the book, Gladwell also talks about the ‘10,000 hour rule’ which gives the estimation of time to master anything. I would recommend this book to those who dream big and actually want to achieve the goal others may find impossible.

The subtle art of not giving a f*ck – Mark Manson

This book caught my attention just by the title. The book may seem a bit aggressive because of the title while actually, it is very, very entertaining. I will not say that this book is ‘everything’ you need to live your life in a better way. However, this sure will give you an amazing time, will make you feel good about yourself and will definitely make you wonder a lot of things that you might never have wondered.

Reflections of a man – Mr. Amari Soul

If you are a Facebook user, you must know at least something of this book. The book was hugely advertised on Facebook during its release. I personally love this one because this is an extremely anti-sexist, an empowering, and a feel-good kind of book. It also makes the readers understand different situations, feelings and reasons behind one’s acts.

7 habits of highly effective people – Stephen Covey

In simple words, it is a self-help book. Yes, there are tons of self-help books now, but what makes it interesting is the style of delivery. However, it is not as simple as it may seem and different people may perceive the discussed points in a different way. It can be said that the book is easy to read, but hard to practice.

The road less traveled – M. Scott Peck

Initially I thought that it is a religion-oriented book, but there’s barely 1/10 of the book that is about religion. However, it won’t be wrong to say that this books is a lot about spiritual development, facing the challenges of your lives and making life-changing decisions. Based on the events inspired by the professional life of the author, this book has a lot to offer.
