Pakistani dramas have a huge fan following in India. Some plays like Humsafar and Zindagi Gulzar Hai even aired on Indian TV channels, confirming Indian viewers’ love for Pakistani content. 2017’s play Yaqeen Ka Safar had also gained immense popularity among fans across the border and although the drama hasn’t aired on any Indian channel yet, playwright Farhat Ishtiaq has announced to release the Hindi version of her famous novel, Woh Yaqeen Ka Ek Naya Safar, on which the popular drama was based.
Taking to Twitter, the writer posted a picture of her book; its cover features Sajal Aly, Ahad Raza Mir, Hira Mani, and Shaz Khan — who appeared in the drama serial ‘Yaqeen Ka Safar’ based on the novel.
The novel will soon be available for purchase on Amazon. Replying to a fan’s tweet, Farhat Ishtiaq also confirmed that a Roman Urdu version of the book will also be available soon.
‘Yaqeen ka Safar’ is amongst the many dramas that drew much need attention to issues like domestic violence, injustice, and feudalism as prevalent in Pakistan.
