Bollywood actor-producer Aamir Khan has earned the ire of many on Twitter after photos of his meeting with Turkish First Lady Emine Erdogan were shared on social media.

Reportedly, Aamir  Khan is in Turkey on a recce for Laal Singh Chaddha, his remake of Tom Hanks’s Forrest Gump.

Film shoot for Laal Singh is supposed to kick off in Turkey in October 2020.

Turkish First Lady Emine Erdoğan took to social media sharing a couple of photos of her meeting with the Bollywood actor, with a caption, “I had the great pleasure of meeting @aamir_khan, the world-renowned Indian actor, filmmaker, and director, in Istanbul. I was happy to learn that Aamir decided to wrap up the shooting of his latest movie ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ in different parts of Turkey. I look forward to it!”.

However,  Aamir Khan’s meeting did not go well with his fellow Indians who came out stalking the actor on social media. While, several Indians have called for a boycott of Laal Singh Chaddha, given the background of Erdogan’s anti-India statements, after Aamir Khan’s meeting with Turkish President’s wife.
