Blackpink’s Jisoo is dating actor Ahn Bo-hyun, it’s official!

Earlier in the day, South Korean paparazzi-style media Dispatch reported that Jisoo, 28, is dating actor Ahn Bo-hyun.

Blackpink’s Jisoo is dating actor Ahn Bo-hyun, it has been officially announced on Thursday!

The representative agencies of both stars confirmed the dating news in a statement issued on Aug 3.

Jisoo, 28, is the eldest member of the Blackpink quartet, she is the only one who is confirmed to be in a relationship, despite constant rumors swirling about their love lives.

On the other hand South Korean actor, Ahn, 35, made his acting debut with FN Entertainment in 2014.

Ahn Bo-hyun is renowned for his roles in Korean dramas including “Descendants of the Sun,”“Itaewon Class,” “Yumi’s Cells,” and “Military Prosecutor Doberman.”

Ahn was most recently seen in “See You In My Nineteenth Life.”

Prior to this confirmation, media outlet ‘Dispatch’ exclusively reported that Jisoo and Ahn Bo Hyun frequently spent time at Jisoo’s home in Yongsan whenever Jisoo was back in South Korea.

The outlet also published some exclusive clicks of the dating couple.

Blackpink is currently on their Born Pink World Tour, which began in October 2022 and is set to conclude later this month.

As per the Dispatch report,  Bo-hyun had been visiting the Yongsan district, where Jisoo lives.

He was spotted driving to her apartment the day after Jisoo returned from overseas, dressed inconspicuously in a cap, sunglasses, and face mask.

An insider told Dispatch: “There weren’t many days Jisoo was in South Korea. Ahn Bo-hyun adjusted his schedule to match hers.”

Ahn’s agency FN Entertainment confirmed the relationship in a statement after local media reported that the pair had been spotted together in Seoul whipped up excitement among fans.

“The two are in a stage where they are getting to know each other slowly with good feelings. We would appreciate it if you could watch the couple with a warm gaze,” it said.

South Korean news agency Yonhap carried a similar statement citing Blackpink’s record label, YG Entertainment.

In South Korea, it is extremely rare for agencies to announce the romantic relationships of K-pop idols.

However, the trend seems to be changing in recent years.

It seems like the Korean entertainment industry is gradually moving away from controversial contract terms that forbid performers from dating other celebrities.
