‘Game of Thrones’ Author George R.R. Martin reveals new book will be “Very Complex”

Game of Thrones’ author George R.R. Martin is still occupied writing his sixth book (out of seven) despite the HBO show surpassing his previously published plots. While talking to a publication Martin told that he has even skipped final-season set visits to continue the writing.

“Going to set is a lot of fun but there’s nothing for me to do there, so I thought I better stay home and not go to Croatia; or Spain; or Belfast, (Northern)Ireland,” he explained. “I still have two books to write.”

On asking about how’s the writing going? Martin replied:

“I’m working on (The Winds of Winter), and I wish I’d been done four years ago, but I’m slow and the book is very complex, although there are a lot of great distractions out there”

The writer has been occupied with the HBO’s Emmy after party as well with the Game of thrones famous win. His Fire and Blood prequel is reported to be dropping in 20th November.
What we all know about  the prequel is that it will be set during the ‘Age of Heroes’, time thousands of years before the events of Thrones when the Seven Kingdoms were seven kingdoms in truth, each ruled by warring clans.

While speaking with press at the Prime time Emmys earlier this week, A Song of Ice and Fire author has also revealed the “working title” for the show.

Martin said. “I’m not allowed to say too much about them or HBO will pull out all my fingernails, but one of the shows, working title The Long Night, has been greenlit to pilot. Jane Goldman is the showrunner…They’re working on that one right now. I don’t know when they’ll actually start shooting, but that’s going forward. And meanwhile we have four others in various stages of development.”
