Nandita Das’s directorial biopic on the literary heavy-weight Saadat Hasan Manto is all set to release on 21st of September. Fans eagerly wait to see Nawazuddin Siddiqui depicting the legendary character of Manto.
The latest news regarding the film release we get is that Manto’s daughters Nuzhat and Nusrat will be arriving in Mumbai for the film release.
While talking with an Indian publication, the film maker herself has shared the news. As Nandita Das said, “We are keeping our fingers crossed that the family of this great literary icon who is legacy of the whole Indian subcontinent will find the passage smooth.”
The same publication has also spoken to Nuzhat in Lahore, as being reported. Nuzhat told the publication that Nusrat will not be able to make it. She also told that the family was availing the visa-on-arrival available to the 65+ elderly according to an understanding between both governments. “In the past we have travelled after a visa was given. So we are a bit worried”, she added.
