Rishi Kapoor Wanted to See The Legend of Maula Jutt

Late Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor who lost the battle to cancer last week and left the world and many of his fans gloomy, had the wish to see Pakistani film The Legend of Maula Jutt, revealed producer Ammara Hikmat. In a Twitter conversation with Ammara, the veteran actor had shown enthusiasm to see the film as he praised its trailer.

“The only reason why I shared this screenshot is that I felt extremely sentimental when I heard of his death,” said Ammara while talking to Images. The producer had earlier shared a screenshot of her message exchange with the late actor on Twitter.

“In the first message that I got from him, he wrote, “Hello, I am from Mumbai…” and I was completely startled. Of course, I knew who he was, and yet, this superstar was messaging me and introducing himself,” Ammara further shared of the actor’s first message where he wanted to praise the trailer of TLOMJ.

Interestingly, Kapoor only came across the trailer of the film due to Fawad Khan with whom he had shared screen in the 2016 Bollywood film Kapoor and Sons.

“He had found out about TLOMJ because he followed Fawad and felt that he was a very good actor. When the trailer released, he told me that he really liked it,” told Ammara.

The veteran Bollywood artist had then inquired about the release of the film and showed keen interest in watching in. The film, after facing a bit of turbulence on the legal front, had finally gotten release date of Eid-ul-Fitr and Ammara had shared it with Rishi Kapoor.

“I only announced the release date officially sometime later but I did tell him much before. I even told him that he was the first person that I was telling,” the producer shared.
