Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan has now turned into a rapper for a very worthy cause. In the latest video posted on his Twitter, King Khan is seeing flaunting some cool rap skills to convince people of India to vote in the general elections.
Composed by Tanishk Bagchi and written by Abby Viral, the rap piece is titled ‘Karo Matdan’ in which Shahrukh is seen urging people to use the power of their vote and choose a government best for the citizens.
Shahrukh’s rap song has come in response of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent request to Bollywood celebs. In a Tweet last month, Modi had tag influential actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Amir Khan, Deepika Padukone and Anushka Sharma; and asked them to play their role in persuading people to come out and cast vote.
Seems like, in addition to fans Modi himself also liked King Khan’s rap piece. Taking it to Twitter, PM said, “Fantastic effort, I am sure the people of India, especially first time voters will pay heed to your appeal and come out to vote in large numbers.”
Indian general elections are currently being held in 7 phases. The last spell of the election will be conducted on May 19.
