Wasim Akram cooks to ward off social distancing blues

The coronavirus outbreak is keeping everyone home since the governments have imposed a lockdown. While we do have all the time on our hands during this social distancing, there is someone who is finding it very hard to stay at home.

Ex cricketer, Wasim Akram, recently spoke during a morning show, sharing how, after spending more than a decade of playing cricket and being on the field, he had been finding it hard to stay at home.

However, Akram was trying to adapt to this change of routine, by spending his time in the kitchen.

“I have a cook book at home from which I have learnt to make steamed fish, tuna strips and pulao during the quarantine so far,” shared Wasim.

“I’ve even noted the timings to add the ingredients,” he said.

Besides cooking, Akram has been spending his time working out and playing with his daughter Aiyla.

According to the cricketer, Aiyla often does his make-up and plays around with him.

“This period is making me learn things that I’ve never done in my life.” It is important to be busy, don’t stress about future, especially for things that are not in your hands,” said the ex Pakistan cricket team captain.

Wasim Akram also advised everyone to have a proper routine and add productive activities to their schedules during the quarantine period. “Don’t just sit and watch the television all night. Read something and spend time with your kids,” said Akram.
