UAE sends third batch of aid to Pakistan to combat against COVID-19

The United Arab Emirates on Tuesday dispatched a third batch of medical and food supplies to Pakistan to support the country in curbing the spread of novel coronavirus, the UAE Embassy said in a statement.

“The United Arab Emirates today sent an aid plane containing 14 metric tons of medical and food supplies to Pakistan to bolster the country’s efforts to curb the spread of COVID-19,” the statement informed.

The supplies will assist around 7,000 medical professionals as they work to stop the virus from spreading.

Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al-Zaabi, UAE ambassador to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has said that on the basis of bilateral cooperation and fraternal relations between the two countries for decades, the UAE has been providing assistance to the Republic of Pakistan in the framework of enhancing global solidarity in combating the novel coronavirus.
