Jeevan Nagar Episode-5 Review: Guru Laali is Forced To Switch Roles!

Summing it up, the magic of Kahsif Nisar (director) works wonders in transporting viewers into the intriguing world of Jeevan Nagar.

Green Entertainment’s Jeevan Nagar is an intriguing play that leaves viewers wanting more. The mystery behind Guru Laali and Babbar Shah has finally been revealed. They are two separate individuals with different identities. Without further ado, let’s find out the intriguing proceedings in episode 5.

The kidnappers bring Guru Laali (Sohail Ahmed) and his troop to a factory where Laali is questioned about her identity. She is then shown the picture of Babbar Shah to know the connection between them. Laali right away clears her position that she’s a trans woman and can’t even imagine herself being a goon. Yes, she resembles Shah big time but there’s a misunderstanding. The kidnappers at gunpoint order her to transform into Babbar Shah and take charge of Jeevan Nagar.

Nida (Aamna Malick) leaves the house to meet her boyfriend Faizan. She reaches at a local café located far away from her house. Faizan talks about dealing with a lot of pressures regarding his marriage and that too without a job. Nida’s cousin follows her and makes their video and shows it to the entire family. A new havoc takes place.

Nida’s parents and family members reach Faizan’s place to beat him. His father chapli intervenes in between to save him. Due to the class difference between the Hamsani’s and Nagi’s the dispute catches fire. Faizan decides to end his life by hanging himself with the ceiling fan. Babbar Shah intervenes to solve the matter.

In terms of performances, episode five was an absolute firecracker. Sohail Ahmed was the star performer and ruled the episode with dual avatars. It’s hard to believe that both characters are played by a single actor. He gets his nuances, postures, and gestures on point. Aamna Malick is super impressive and delivers a class act. Saquib Sumeer as Billa and Nillo delivers an accomplished performance.

Summing it up, the magic of Kahsif Nisar (director) works wonders in transporting viewers into the intriguing world of Jeevan Nagar. Will Guru Laali be able to step in Babbar Shah’s shoes? Jeevan Nagar will air every Saturday night at 8 p.m. on Green Entertainment.
