Kuch Ankhai Last Episode Review: Not one, but three happy endings!

The classiest play in the running at ARY Digital Kuch Ankahi finally comes to its conclusion. It is making us super sad that Kuch Ankahi has ended. This drama has revived the good old memories old PTV era. Kuch Ankahi is a full-time winner, it is indeed a masterpiece penned by Muhammed Ahmed. He should write more and more. Nadeem Baig deserves all appreciation for his brilliant execution and a huge shout-out to each and every actor who feels like a pearl knitted into a string.

Who will Aaliya going to end up with was the biggest question in our minds before watching this finale. Salman or with Asfar? The majority has been rooting for Aaliya and Salman. We were delighted to see that Aaliya chooses Salman and she did it smoothly without creating any drama in other words Asfar is not the brat we thought about him. He happens to be a decent fellow who generously respects Aaliya’s opinion.

Salman and Asfar’s encounter is interesting but it ends on a good and friendlier note with Asfar saying that whoever love is one-sided will going to lose. The best thing I like about the ending is that Asfar has not literally had to ask Aaliya he just read her eyes and realizes that he has lost it. Our heart goes out to Asfar, he deserves someone in his life too but happy for him that he has gained his family and has changed.

The ending has shown two unions one is of Phupho and Thanvi. Thank God Phupho who keeps her reputation as the bride on the run eventually ends up accepting Thanvi. Thanvi is a gem of a lover by the way. Great to see Humayun Saeed’s photo as Safdar Phupho’s ex-husband. The second and the cutest union is of our hero and heroine the much-anticipated union of Salman and Aaliyah. They look like made for each other, I feel that the Dildara song sequence is a bit additional.

There are few open endings in the case of Samia and Saif. It is shown that Samia’s heart is melting for Saif but it is not shown that she fully forgives him. But it seems like they are going to live together. Secondly, our very own cute Shakeel and his infatuation with Tania have not given any direction. Tania is bashing all advances made by poor Shakeel. Looks cute and real. This is the master stroke of Muhammed Ahmed’s writing I wish he writes more often. In the end, kudos to the entire team, cast, and crew of Kuch Ankahi for coming up with a play that is making us nostalgic and reviving in our minds the memories of good old PTV plays.
