‘The New Mutants’ X-Men horror spin-off is finally releasing in 2020

Twentieth Century Fox has released a new trailer for X-Men spin-off “The New Mutants. This new trailer comes out after two years of the film’s originally planned release day which was April 13, 2018.

As being reported the horror-driven spin-off has been delayed following a series of reshoots and due to which 20th Century Fox moved the theatrical release date twice, first, it was February 2019, then August 2019.

The New Mutants is being directed by Josh Boone and features “Game of Thrones” star Maisie Williams, “Stranger Things” star Charlie Heaton, “Peaky Blinders” star Anya Taylor-Joy, “Looking for Alaska” actor Henry Zaga, “Queen of the South’s” Alice Braga, and Blu Hunt.

The film is said to be “an original horror thriller set in an isolated hospital where a group of young mutants is being held for psychiatric monitoring.”

The newly released trailer shows the young mutants who sit in a circle at the facility and recall the first time their powers manifested. They are also seen running away from things that scare them the most.

With its new release date, the mutants will now hit the theaters on Friday, April 3.
