Mehwish Hayat to play Benazir Bhutto in upcoming biopic

It was yesterday that we celebrated BiBi’s birthday, cherishing her infinite memories and it came as a birthday present when actress Mehwish Hayat took to her social media, Instagram, announcing that she will be appearing in an upcoming biopic which is  being made on none other than Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.

Mehwish captioned her photo sitting in the courtyard , which seemingly appears to be Sallu ki Haveli, “We have broken glass ceilings, we have broken the stereotypes, and we have been and continue to be prepared to go the extra mile, to be judged by unrealistic standards, to be held more accountable”.

In her Instagram post Hayat spoke with utter admiration of Pakistan’s former prime minster, “I am privileged to have been given the opportunity to research and learn more about her life and sitting here I can only reflect on so much more that could have been had she not lost her life so tragically. She was a truly remarkable woman and I look forward to giving life to her story soon”.

It is not revealed when the shoot for the film will start and who else is included in the project but definitely it is going to be a very challenging project for Punjab Nahi Jaungi lead actress, since it will not be a commercial project. Mehwish already strikes a remarkable resemblance with BiBi with her facial features. We all will be looking forward to get more details about this upcoming biopic.
