Quarantine Curation: Here is a list of horror films available on Netflix that will deliver the chills

Bored with random programs during quarantine, you can change your mood with elicit fear for entertainment purposes.

Horror has existed as a film genre for more than a century, with multiple themes picked up by the filmmakers and also adopting literature from authors such as Edgar Allan Poe, Bram Stoker, Stephen King, and Mary Shelley.

However, on the streaming giant, Netflix a number of Vampires. Zombies. Ghosts and other things are available to excite you, and surely that content is not for the faint-hearted.

And it’s totally up to you to make horror movies even more terrifying. May be by watching them at home in the dark.

Here is a list of couple of horror films available on Netflix you can binge-watch, including some definite classics to recently released flicks:

1. 1922

A 2017 Stephen King’s adaptation is one of those that seeps into your blood and poisons it. Starring Thomas Jane as Wilfred James, a provincial man who manipulates his teenage son (Dylan Schmid) into helping kill his mother (Molly Parker) so she can’t take her share of the family’s money and ship off to the big city — effectively leaving their farm to die. Wilfred and his boy struggle to cope with what they’ve done, and must try to survive their now-cursed life as killers.

2. The Exorcist

If you haven’t watched The Exorcist already, do it now! There can not be a good horror film list without this classic. 

3. Bird Box

A 2018 American post-apocalyptic horror-thriller flick directed by Susanne Bier from a screenplay written by Eric Heisserer, and based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Josh Malerman. Starring Sandra Bullock, Sarah Paulson

4. Sinister

A 2012 release. This film has it all, a haunted house, an innocent family, murder, blood, and gore. This supernatural horror film is directed and co-written by Scott Derrickson. The film stars Ethan Hawke, Juliet Rylance, James Ransone, Fred Thompson, and Vincent D’Onofrio.

5. IT

Based on the book written by the king of horror Stephen King, insanely popular horror flick is a fantastic watch for anyone, but not for those who have phobias related to clowns!

6. Conjuring

Mother of all horror flick available on the streaming site, 2013 release, Conjuring is one of the personal favourites. Directed by James Wan. With Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga, Ron Livingston, Lili Taylor. Paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren work to help a family terrorized by an evil presence in their farmhouse. 

7. Dabbe 5: Curse of the Jinn

Dabbe 5: Curse of the Jinn is a 2013 Turkish horror film directed and written by Hasan Karacadağ. It is one of the films from the Dabbe series also available on the streaming site.
